I did get myself a new bear archery authority bow this week too. The countdown has begun for a-zone.
July 8th is the opener.

Gonna be gathering accessories in the following weeks. Then site it in.
In the meantime I'm gonna chase some A-zone bucks with the bow.

thats nice and you have lots of time to get accessories
be real careful practicing and shooting , have water close
AND NO SHOOTING NEAR DRY GRASS
this is a small news paper pic of my brother shooting his .54 hawkin at a rondezvous . he using goex black powder and patched round ball and you can see that rifle spit fire .
patched round ball shooting sends an almost burning patch downrange about 30 feet and we have had small fires at rondy's lots and lots . we have water buckets at almost every rondy site at almost every target to put out fires .

hunting bullets , sabot or powerbelt dont spit fire as bad cause no patch

Posted 14 July 2017 - 12:07 PM
just got night vision in mail
time to test it and check it out
might need to hit natl. forest soon to check out night life
Posted 14 July 2017 - 03:04 PM
just saw fire restrictions in shasta trinity and mendocino natl. forests are now in effect
its all political when they start restrictions cause they dont want anyone using the forests or camping in them
unless you pay for camp ground site , then you can have fires

NORTH COAST, Calif. – The Bureau of Land Management this week initiated emergency target shooting restrictions on public lands managed by the Ukiah Field Office in Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa, Yolo, Colusa, Glenn and Solano counties due to high fire potential.
Shooting is still allowed for hunting, the BLM reported.
The agency said temporary restriction will remain in place until fire dangers subside.
