I'm having a helluva time trying to figure out where to go Saturday. I have a B tag and have hunted French Gulch, Wildwood area & Hayfork/Indian Valley most.

With my busy schedule, haven't been able to scout out anything. I think I'd like to go somewhere we can fish midday since my 14 year old daughter will be going and she won't be hunting.

know its late but Trinity lake and river are relatively close.  IF you get up to the top of trinity lake I believe they plant some trout in carrville pond.  Lotsa country to investigate too

Cheers

Thanks, we actually made our way up there yesterday. We stopped at mid day to fish the pond. My daughter loves to fish and that's good because the hunting sucked. WAY too hot for hunting.

Yeah, we caught 3. it was 105 degrees at the time we fished, the fish had a bit of lock jaw. Limited tackle, tried panther Martins and Kastmasters, no luck. Caught all the fish on Wobblers. We quit early to get back to hunting, my daughter wanted to stay and fish lol.
