last time to that lake was about 2000 -2001 . went down the road out of mc cloud , passed boat launch and drove around to the dam . it was around 9:30 am
we fished with every trout lure and power bait in my tackle box all the way back to boat launch and not even a bite .
went back to mc cloud got a burger then back to camp .
next morn we fished trout creek secret spot and 45 minutes later were back in camp with 10 . full limit for 2 .
my go to place up there is medicine lake but its almost never open when im camping in june

There's a little tournament called halbasch trout bash at mccloud in June usually the second Saturday. They have a dinner in mccloud at the hall and raffle.
If u troll flashers with worms and haven't gotten a bite for more than 5 min then your either dragging a fish or your worm is gone.
Power bail floating balls are best from shore.
They get their plant the week of the tournament usually.

Also picked up a couple wild rainbow trout to 20". And a few spotted, large and smallmouth bass and a few blue gills.
