Hey quick question, I found a Remington M721 that was originally chambered in .300 H&H but has been rechambered to a .300 Whetherby, can you still shoot the .300 H&H ammo out of this gun ???? My uncle had a 30-06 ackley that he still shot standard -06 rounds through, hoping I could do the same in this gun.

i googled that question , here are a couple different sites with different answers

http://www.24hourcam..._amp_H_in_300_W

https://www.thehighr...wby-mag.138206/

answers and questions are old but ballistics dont matter

http://w11.zetaboards.com/EDH/index/  you may try signing in on here and ask same question on ammo forum . they have a few gunsmiths that comment on there lots

Hey, sorry  just  saw this,  short answer is YES but, there is NO WAY I or anyone else could comment on a chambering we have not seen and inspected,

300 WTHBY is formed (can be formed) from 300 H&H, but again,  why risk eyes, ears, hands, and the rifle,  take it  to a 'smith,

Hey guys, thanks for the advice, I did get the gun and for one manufactured in 1949 it looks to be in great shape, I am going to take it to a gunsmith to have it looked at before I actually shoot it.
Thanks again, Scott
