big fire just started east of lake oroville near feather falls
not sure what zone for deer but in 2 hours its up to 600+ acres with evacuations
fire moving north east , western and south edge borate drops holding

that fire east of lake oroville is over 2500 acres now , mostly heading north into deer hunting areas .
and one person has been arrested for starting the fire .
he was camped out in open area and had a camp fire get away from him .
there are no campfires allowed in any forest or BLM land in calif. right now and some campgrounds wont allow them either cause of fire danger .

as of right now , 7:15 am thursday , HWY 299 west of weaverville is closed due to another fire that started wednesday afternoon
over 1500 acres burning both sides of the highway and 0 containment

for those heading out HWY 299 this weekend for scouting or bow hunting in B zone , HWY 299 still closed cause of fire west of weaverville

for now , HWY 299 west of weaverville is OPEN to one way controlled traffic 24/7 . they say expect 45 minute delays .
also be aware if you normally camp near 299 , near the fire area , lots of campgrounds are CLOSED along with lots of roads heading into the forest around the fire .
