its that time of year again . get fat and sleep it off while its flooding out there 

checklist ;

had thanksgiving at moms , gained 5 pounds  CHECK

cleaned and oiled guns for long winter hibernation  CHECK 

went back to moms for christmas , gained another 5 pounds ( more like 10 )  and had fun time with all the family and young ones CHECK 

back at home front checked oil on guns again CHECK 

made sure house and yard ready for rain/snow  CHECK 

set alarm for jan. 24 doctor appointment CHECK 

woke up early , yard a mess after 10 inches rain but didnt flood at my house 

staying awake now cause tree branches are cracked and threatening to fall , moved trailer out from under them CHECK 

pup wants out bad , maybe presidents day if fog burns off early 

too much rain . hate winter 

how bout the rest of you ??????  staying dry and warm ??????

or just enjoying the winter sports on tv

Not hibernating. Instead, Killing ducks... eating lots of em so I can keep killing em. Nothing like a big rice fat mallard, wigeon or pintail with brown rice and biscuits a couple times a week...
As well as venison and wild turkey and striper.

Made a 21lb batch of deer burger with my new cabelas grinder (Christmas gift). Still have more pounds to grind as well as a few geese I'm gonna throw in too.

Sturgeon fishing comes next, then turkey and river striper season. Can't wait.
