Well i decided to start one of these posts to share with everyone as well as be able to look back on for myself.

July 16, 2010: Well i started putting trail cameras out 2 weeks ago and havent had many big bucks show up yet. A good number of small ones and one possible larger buck I'll have to keep an eye on lol. I had my 3 cameras set out this last week and got over 400 pics between the 3 but for some dag gun reason 2 of the cards wouldnt show the pictures on the computer. I'm a little pissed about that but oh well.
Heres what I'm looking at so far:

This is one of the smaller bucks

Heres the one I'm gonna try and keep an eye on. Not a very good pic so i cant tell how good he actually is

Heres just a good pic of a couple fawns

Still on the lookout for the big one. Will keep posted

July 31, 2010:

I cant wait for season to start. Went out today to do a little scouting on the quad. I came around a corner off the dike and saw a deer standing along the edge of the field, i turned the quad off and pulled up the glasses to find big horns!!! smile.gif I glassed the buck for a couple min and as he walked into the field i noticed 2 other bucks with him. I was able to get a good look at all 3 and noticed that they were the same 3 bucks i got pictures of in the post above!! first time ive actually got pictures of bucks then seen them in person. It got me pretty pumped up. Also had another larger 3 point come out of the same trail.

I pulled my camera after the last weeks soak. Didnt get much action this week but had 13 pics of one nice 3 point and 2 pics of a doe but I'll take that ratio any day lol.

What you guys say, same buck or different buck? I'm kinda stuck in the middle

Havent been on top of this post lately or as much as i'd like to be lol. Opening day of the willamette tag is tomorrow and i cant wait. Got the big 3 point on my mind. Hopefully he comes out in the daylight. Didnt get any pics of him or the 4 point this last week. Not what i wanted to see but hopefully hes still around. Will fill in how it goes after the evening hunt tomorrow. smile.gif

Well day one was a bust. Started out sweet, then some dove hunters decided to do some hunting only a coulpe hundred yards away. The shots sounded so close i didnt think i would ever see anything. Then the hired hands started driving the quads around. I thought it was all over after that but lucked out and ended up seeing about 8 does. I decided to take a drive around the field after dark and was stuned to see damn near 50 deer in the field and a couple nice bucks (of course they come out at dark lol). We'll see how it goes today. hopefully a little better evening is ahead.
