My name is Ronnie. I live in Gridley, Ca, just a little south of Chico. I have hunted various B zones my whole life, mainly B5. I also have hunted quite a bit in the C zones, mainly C4, regular season and late (G1). I have also hunted D3-5 for the last few years, but my home is in the Bzones in the Yolla Bolly Wilderness. The real work is just starting for me as I am getting my kids involved in hunting.

Hey guys. My name is Bill, live in the bay area. 38 years old, grew up rifle hunting in D-3. Love to bowhunt too, head up to B zone for that. Killed my first deer ever at the age of 35 (with bow), after many many many years of just terrible luck. It seems to have lifted the curse, though. Got another buck last year (bow), along with my first black bear (rifle).

I live in Mendocino County in North Western CA and have been hunting Blacktails since I was 12. I do most of my Blacktail hunting, filming and photographing in my immediate area but I have hunted Oregon and BC a few times in the past.
I've also hunted Elk, Muledeer and Antelope many times across the western states and in my younger days was a hardcore duck hunter. I'm married to a fantastic woman and have two beautiful step daughters and am fortunate to live in a great place for anyone who loves Blacktails. My wife and I are web designers by trade which works out great for my Blacktail addiction. Dan -------------------- If you don't kill'em, how the hell you gonna eat'em?

Hi Everybody. Jerrod here, 31, live in newark, married to jen and have two kids, cheyenne 4, and hunter 2. Carpenter by trade but also attended humboldt state. Ive been hunting since I was 12, and I hunt everything, but really love hunting ducks and blaacktails and steelhead fishing. I haven't killed to many bucks, we used to hunt the c4 zone when you could easily buy a tag, especially the late season g1 hunt we would hike into ishi wilderness and slauhgter them (weather permitting). Trying to learn some b zone spots now but not having much luck yet but I think this year will be better. I will keep yall posted.

Hi all, my name is Doug and I live in Davis. I have hunted Blacktails all my life, but took a break from 10-30. I am now 31 and looking forward to my second season back into it. I hunted D3-5 last year and this year am putting in for X1, and will opt for a second tag in B, if not a first tag in B and a second tag as D3-5. Good luck to everyone. I hunt with a 30-06 and look for bears also.

Hi, my name is Seth. I am 32 and used to hunt occasionally, mostly pig, from the age 12-23 then I got married and had two kids so I took some time off. Started getting back into duck huntiong about 2 years ago. Last year I got a bow and hunted for hogs a couple times, went last week for my first blacktail bowhunt. No luck but had a great time. My wife says im getting addicted cause I'm thinking about hunting all the time.

Just stopping in to make my introduction.
My name is Joe and I live Chowchilla. I am primarily a predator hunter and have been lucky enough to meet some ranchers in the area that allow me to control the coyote populations on those ranches. Since moving from Utah to California in 2004 I have been chasing Blacktail on public land but have yet to connect with a buck. I have been present when several nice bucks have been taken primarily in A zone and D7 but I can't seem to connect myself. This year I have moved my hunting focus a little further north hoping to explore the D6 area. |

Just checking in. My name is Mike and currently I reside in Fresno, CA. I’ve been hunting mule deer and elk for the past 30 years. I’ve only been chasing blacktails the past 10 years since moving to Fresno with some moderate success. Not only have I been trying to educate myself on blacktails, but introduce my wife (who shot her first blacktail in a zone about 4 years ago) to hunting as well.
